Buying Guide

A gas fireplace system creates a delightful and valuable enhancement to your home. After settling on size there are literally hundreds of variations available.  Building a true wood-burning fireplace requires major construction and expense.  A natural gas fireplace system allows you to enjoy the cozy feeling and rich architectural detail of a full hearth without tearing into the walls.

The gas fireplace system starts with the firebox.  This is a metal enclosure that houses a set of vent-free gas logs.  Lighting the pilot is easy using the push-button spark system.  Once the pilot is lit, turning the logs on and off is done with a remote control or a toggle switch.

After selecting the firebox, add accessories to your fireplace system. Systems can be installed along a wall or in corner.  The mantels come in many shapes and colors, from dark oak to white.  Front trim pieces from polished brass to flat black dress up the unit from the front.  To give your fireplace more presence, add a base to raise it a bit.  Your base can be decorated with a marble style laminate or any number of finishes to suit the style of your room.

Our mini-systems are extremely popular for basement rooms and additions.  Call or email for more information.  We offer installation throughout the St. Louis area and can ship your fireplace directly to you.

Measuring Guide

Fireplace systems start at 20 inches wide.  Also available are 32, 36, and 42-inch units.  We suggest you visit our showroom to get a feel for which style you prefer.  If a visit isn't possible, we have some brochures we can send you. Measure the wall where you want the fireplace and pick a system that fits.

Another measurement you will need to consider is room size.  A vent-free fireplace can generate a lot of heat in a small room, so you will want to pick a size that can be comfortably left on for extended periods of time.

Fun Facts

Fireplace systems don't use electricity.  When you turn it on, the power to open the valve comes from the pilot.
